Dionisiou Beach
Dionisiou beach is the coast of village Dionisiou, Municipality of N. Propodida Halkidikis, named after the Monastery of Saint Dionisiou in Holy Mount Athos.
Dionisiou beach is extended at 3 km flat along the coast which is sandy, pebble and spacious for using individual beach equipment alterate with organized beach bars and restaurants which provide their sunbeds and umbrellas free of charge.
The pedestrianized street in front of the beach is ideal for walking , jogging , cycling and watching the colourfull sunset behind the mount Olympos, the highest Greek mountain residence of the twelve ancient gods.
In the main square there is a free playground and an organized small amusement park for young visitors, surrounded by various shops that you can find everything you need. Every evening an opening bazaar promotes all the goods of Halkidiki as fresh vegetables, fruit, honey, oil, olives.
Dionisiou beach has a very convenient geographical location, in the begging of the three peninsulas of Halkidkiki,- 3 km from N. Moudania a touristic-commercial town, 45 km from Thessaloniki the second capital of Greece,- where the visitor can enjoy his summer holidays and at the same time has options like going to busy beaches or unspoilt creeks, visiting interesting areas and sightseeings around at reasonable prices.
